There are three routes to choose from when traveling to the Big Bear area. We recommend you select your route in advance and check the current conditions. Remember to always carry chains in your vehicle when traveling in the mountains during winter.
Hwy 18 through Running Springs has reopened and is normally the fastest route to Big Bear, however this route is typically more congested on weekends and busy holidays - view Route Details with a map
